Privacy Policy

Airwave Map is a live internet radio map. This page explains the data used by the web app and the third-party services involved when you browse and play stations.

Map Data

Airwave Map uses Mapbox to load the interactive map. Your browser may send Mapbox your IP address, device information, map style requests, and map interaction requests as part of normal map loading.

Local Storage

The app uses browser localStorage to keep favorites, recent searches, recently played stations, the last selected station, and the last map view on your device. This data is stored in your browser and can be cleared through your browser settings.

Location Permission

Airwave Map can choose nearby stations using Cloudflare's inferred network region and browser context such as your language, time zone, and map area. The default playback flow does not need to send a precise location to its own server.

Audio Streams

Station audio streams are provided by third parties. When you play a station, your browser connects directly to that station or its streaming provider, which may receive your IP address and playback request.

Advertising

Airwave Map currently keeps advertising disabled by default. If Google ads are enabled later, the site may load Google advertising scripts and cookies only after the required configuration and consent flow are in place for regions such as the EU and UK.

Favorites, recent searches, recently played stations, and location permission data are kept in your browser storage and should not be shared with an advertising system as personal profile data.
